Kandinsky at the Guggenheim

While getting my daily fashion fix on Vogue.com, I came across one “of fall’s best art shows” – an exhibition of Kandinsky’s work on display at the Guggenheim from September 18, 2009 until January 13, 2010. It is the first time there has been an exhibition of his work in the USA in over 25 years!

Maybe this will be the perfect oportunity to fall in love with NY for the very first time…

Another exhibition I got extremely excited about is Hiroshi Sugimoto’s new body of work “Lightning Fields” in San Francisco’s Fraenkel Gallery until October 31. I did a paper and a visual project on his life and work for Introduction to Visual Culture. He has done some incredible time based photography. Lightning is a powerful and visibly beautiful force of nature, to see this exhibition in person would be delightful!
